Alexander Koehl on a coastal ridge

I have always been obsessed with storytelling and nearly anything colorful that happened around me and on computer screens. Today, nothing changed. I also still love playing outside, seeing the world, and taking moody pictures of it.

I'm not attached to specific pipelines or visual styles. I enjoy creating in many ways and genuinely care about the process of getting there. I love to use code, pixels, polygons, language, and images. A lot of that involves AI these days — on the big budget projects I work on, and in the small things I keep building for myself on the side. Whatever needs to happen to make something great and memorable.

I like reinventing myself and wearing different hats. Failing and learning from it is what keeps me going. Working together with like-minded, talented, and friendly people is what brings the best out in me. And never forget the heart, fun, and meaning of it all.

Over the past decade, I worked in both technical and artistic positions across tech, film, games, automotive, and robotics. I've always had a special love for that line where technology and art meet, and it's where I see my future. I'm genuinely excited about what's coming — and I'd rather be helping build it than watching it happen.
